The Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan organized Youth Day as part of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum — 2025.
The large-scale and successful event brought together over 1,500 school students and university undergraduates from Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, and other cities across the Republic of Tatarstan. The President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rifhat Minnikhanov, personally oversaw all aspects of the event, including the engagement of leading enterprises, universities, and scientific organizations. As a result, Youth Day became an effective platform for promoting the petrochemical industry and scientific research and fostering dialogue between young professionals and industry leaders.
Youth Day was organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Kazan National Research Technological University, Higher School of Oil Almetyevsk State Technological University, and other partners. - "Live Dialogue"—question-and-answer sessions with the leadership of Tatneft PJSC named after V.D. Shashin, Nefis Cosmetics JSC, and other companies that engaged over 100 participants.
- Mini-lectures titled "Russia's Technological Sovereignty" delivered by leading scientists from the Republic of Tatarstan on topics such as additive technologies, energy conservation, and digital twins, with more than 100 participants.
- "PRO-Science" masterclasses conducted by Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University and the Higher School of Oil, encompassing eight areas including oil and gas engineering, energy auditing, and design engineering, involving over 120 school students and undergraduates.
- The popular science game "Stretch Your Brain" with the chief editor of the journal "Chemistry and Life," Lyubov Strelnikova, attracted approximately 100 school students.
- Case championship "Catalyst of Ideas," where 13 student teams from Russian universities addressed real-world challenges posed by Tatneft PJSC named after V.D. Shashin, SIBUR Holding PJSC, Mirrico Group of Companies, and Nefis Cosmetics JSC.
- Panel discussions, a forum for young scientists, the game "Battle for Black Gold," and a roundtable on the development of Student Scientific Societies (SSS), which initiated the formation of a united SSS council under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.
